Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
1. Who we are
Travia (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides travel eSIM data plans through the Travia mobile application (“App”) and related websites. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Contact: admin@mytravia.net
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Travia iOS app and our public web pages (including support and legal pages). It does not cover third-party websites or apps that we link to, such as payment or sign-in providers, which have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service. The categories below match what we declare in the App Store privacy nutrition label.
Account information
When you sign in (Apple, Google, or phone SMS), we receive and store: email address, display name, phone number (if used for sign-in), and a unique user ID assigned by our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication).
Purchase and order information
When you buy a plan, we collect: destination, plan name, price, currency, order reference, payment status, and payment reference IDs from our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers in our systems — card entry is handled by Tap Payments.
eSIM and connectivity information
To deliver your plan, we store eSIM identifiers and activation data such as ICCID, order reference, install URL or QR details, profile status, and (for some plans) an assigned phone number. This information is required to provision, support, and display your eSIM in the App.
Device and app information
We collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token when you allow push notifications, so we can notify you (for example, when a scheduled eSIM becomes ready). We also check whether your device supports eSIM before purchase. Basic diagnostic and crash information may be collected through Firebase to keep the App stable.
Location
Only when you tap “Use my location” on the home screen, we request your device’s approximate location to suggest a travel destination. We do not track your location in the background and do not use location for advertising.
Camera
If you choose to scan a payment card during checkout, the camera is used only for that purpose by the payment SDK. We do not access your photo library and do not use the camera for any other feature.
Information we do not collect
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or advertising.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, or health data.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- Process payments and provision eSIM profiles after purchase.
- Show your order history and eSIM details in the App.
- Send service notifications you have allowed (e.g. eSIM ready alerts).
- Provide customer support and resolve payment or delivery issues.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate charges.
- Improve reliability and fix errors.
5. Who we share information with
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate Travia:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, messaging, and hosting.
- Tap Payments — payment processing (card data is handled by Tap, not stored by us).
- eSIM wholesalers (e.g. eSIM Go, eSimerge) — to fulfill and activate the plan you purchased.
- Apple / Google — when you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we store your FCM token linked to your account to send service messages (such as when a scheduled eSIM is ready to install). You can turn off notifications anytime in iOS Settings. Disabling notifications does not delete your account or purchase history.
7. Retention
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and as needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. If you delete your account, we remove your sign-in profile; some order and payment records may be retained by us or our providers where required for compliance or dispute resolution.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase security rules, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your device and sign-in credentials safe.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access or update your profile in App Settings.
- Delete your account from App Settings (this removes your sign-in profile).
- Withdraw consent for location or notifications in iOS Settings.
- Contact us to ask about your data or request deletion where applicable.
To exercise these rights, email admin@mytravia.net. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children
Travia is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours (including the United States and European Union). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
